It's Februar and I bought this to swim in the ocean in San Diego and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I'm pretty warm in it and I like the way it looks too. That said, I'm 5'2" and 120lbs and the 8 is just a little too snug. I'm fine while I'm in the water but happy to take it off as soon as I get out. Also, it definitely lets water in so if that's something you don't want then don't buy this.
